This Deschutes Jasper came from Oregon. It is a wonderful example of a landscape cabochon. The beauty of this stone spoke to me reminding me of a sunny autumn day along side a rocky river bed in the northeast. The fall foliage dresses the mountain tops in vibrant red, skirted by the soft green of the grassy fields below, and fed by the clear waters of the rushing river. A hand sawn tree shedding it's leafs graces the back of the pendant. A copper disk with a red heat patina was set in the back of the pendant to enhance the tree with some fall color.
